01What does it mean that Sodelia is a Bettermode Hero partner — and why does it matter?

Hero is Bettermode's top partner tier. It means our team is certified on the platform, has shipped multiple production communities, and gets early access to platform roadmap and support channels. Practically, you get faster resolution on platform issues, battle-tested patterns for SSO and integrations, and a team that won't be learning Bettermode on your dollar.

02How long does it take to launch a Bettermode community?

A focused launch — branded space, SSO, one CRM integration, and moderation rules — is typically 4 to 6 weeks. More ambitious builds with multiple gated spaces, custom JWT flows, warehouse piping, or migrations from another platform run 8 to 12 weeks. We scope the first 60 days in detail before any contract is signed.

03How is a Bettermode community different from a Slack, Discord, or Circle community?

Slack and Discord are chat-first and ephemeral — great for real-time, bad for searchable knowledge and product signal. Circle is closer to Bettermode but less configurable around content types and integrations. Bettermode is the right choice when you need a public, SEO-indexed knowledge surface, structured content types (Q&A, changelog, feature requests), SSO with your product, and clean piping into HubSpot or Salesforce.

04What does pricing look like — fixed fee or retainer?

Initial builds are fixed-fee, scoped against a written statement of work. Typical launch projects land in the $18–60k CAD range depending on integration depth and migration scope. After launch, most clients move to a monthly retainer (typically $4–12k CAD/month) covering iteration, new integrations, analytics, and platform upkeep. We don't charge for the Bettermode license itself — that's billed by Bettermode directly.

05Can you handle SSO and identity — Okta, Auth0, or our own JWT?

Yes. Bettermode supports SAML, OIDC, and a JWT-based SSO flow. We've shipped all three. For B2B SaaS teams with tiered plans, we typically use JWT signed from your product so plan, role, and entitlements flow into Bettermode as member attributes — which then drive which spaces each customer can see.

06Which CRMs, support desks, and analytics tools do you integrate with?

On the GTM side — HubSpot, Salesforce, Intercom, Zendesk, and Slack are the ones we ship most. On the data side — Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel, and direct piping into Snowflake or BigQuery for teams that want community events in the warehouse.

07We're already on Discourse, Circle, or a Slack community. Can you migrate us?

Yes. Migrations are a regular engagement for us — we've moved communities off Discourse, Circle, Discord, and private Slack workspaces. We handle content export, SEO-safe URL mapping, member account reconciliation with your CRM, and a cutover plan that doesn't lose activity history. Most migrations take 4 to 8 weeks on top of a baseline build.

08What do you need from us to get started?

For the first call — nothing. We'll walk through where your team is today. Before the second call, it helps to have: a rough sense of which customer segments the community serves, what integrations are must-have vs. nice-to-have, any existing community we'd be migrating from, and who the internal owner will be post-launch.
